My friend Rebecca's fiance surprised her with a trip to Nashville for her birthday and I'm going along! We are staying right in the middle of everything and he got us tickets to see Carrie Underwood! I've never been to Nashville before so I'm excited! Any suggestions on places to go while we are there this weekend??
you MUST get a cupcake from Gigi's cupcakes!! i go to the cool springs one, but i know there is one downtown (she has a website if you search for it). BEST CUPCAKES EVER!
ReplyDeletealso, my favorite places to go downtown are Buffalo Billiards and Flying Saucer.. both relaxed bar atmospheres... if you've never been to flying saucer it's a really cool bar with over 200 different beers.
green hills is the really pretty ritzier shopping area - there's a california pizza kitchen and cheesecake factory there, antropologie, west elm, etc.
How exciting! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteOMGGGG!! I'm SOO jealous. Nashville and NYC are my two favorite cities! Yall are going to have a blast! There are so many fun honky tonk bars on Broadway. Have fun!!! {totally jealous}
ReplyDeleteI LOVE NASHVILLE! While I only went for a few days for a football game and didn't have much time to sightsee, I know that I hear A LOT about a place called Pancake Pantry. My friend lived in Nashville for a summer doing an internship and he raved about it....everyone else seems to love that place too. Try it out. Have so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I will be there on Saturday and Sunday!! I am keeping note on the suggestions being made :) How thoughtful of your friend's fiance!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great gift! Not even us Nashvillians can get tickets to see Carrie! I've tried multiple times! But if you are looking for something fun we always head out to Broadway and go to The Big Bang, a dueling piano bar... and underneath it is Paradise Park, a "trailer trash" bar that is equipped with astroturf, country bands, and an old car in the middle of the bar!! It's always a good time! Let me know if you have any other questions!
ReplyDeleteive never been! I am jealous about the carrie underwood tickets though!
ReplyDeleteNashville is amazing!!! Of Course maybe that I why I live here. If its your first time to Nashville def. go downtown to Broadway. It is full of honky tonk joints, but def. a Nashville only experience. Paradise Park is fun to see. Check out Tootsies Orchid Lounge, it is def. a Nashville legend. If you have a chance eat at the Loveless Cafe. It is a drive, but well worth it. Any other questions feel free to ask me!!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! Nashville is such a great city. Be sure to remember your boots!
ReplyDeletePancake Pantry is a must! I love Nashville and Carrie Underwood! Have seen her a couple times out here and her concert is great. Have a blast!
