I'm off to Boston for work until Tuesday! I'm super excited, as I have never been to New England! (I've been to NYC, but that doesn't count!) Any suggestions on things to do, places to see, and restaurants to visit?! (I'll be staying at Copley Place - Huntington Ave)
I've been to Boston once and I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI love Boston! You have to go to Boston Commons and get your picture taken with the ducks from Make Way for Ducklings. ;)
ReplyDeletemust go to chinatown!
ReplyDeleteAH welcome!! There's tons of shopping in Copley, be sure to go to Newbury Street and the Prudential Center for that :) I also suggest eating at Sel de la Terre in Copley, and if you're into corny but fun tourist things, take a Duck Tour! They board right on Huntington. And I agree with Glitterista, definitely visit the Boston Common and Public Gardens :) Have so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Soanthro ... you MUST fit in a Duck Tour to your trip. Shopping on Newbury St is awesome, and maybe dinner one night in Little Italy? (Complete with cannolis)
ReplyDeleteA few great restaurants -
ReplyDelete- Neptune's Oyster for the lobster roll (TO DIE FOR!)
- 10 Tables (a little out of the way but so worth it!)
-Pizzeria Regina (some of the best pizza ever)
Now I'm hungry!
I absolutely love Boston; it's definitely one of my favorite cities. Take a trip to the top of the Prudential building, follow the Freedom Trail, eat at Cheers, head to Faneuil Market, and take a walk through Boston Common. Oh, and take me with you!
ReplyDeleteLived in Boston for a year back in '03-'04. Definitely stroll through The North End, Boston's Little Italy area. There are some quaint, authentic restaurants there. Harvard Square is also fun. My favorite Thai restarant is there (Spice). Shopping is awesome on Newbury Street! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAgree with everyone that already posted!! Newbury Street is right around the corner from you so you should def enjoy the shops there...as well as Boston Commons!! You can head to Fenway Park and walk around...and if the Sox are in town maybe try and get a seat at the Bleacher Bar which is a bar that beneath the bleachers in center field. Pretty typical bar...with an amazing setting! Also, I think a must in Boston is definitely Mike's Pastries in the North End! Have a blast!
ReplyDeleteJust got back from there on Tuesday! Love the North End area for great Italian ... (Mikes Pastry for a Cannoli), The Barking Crab for some good seafood and right on the water... loved Newbery St for shopping and Parish Cafe for lunch.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Hope you are having an absolute blast!
ReplyDeleteMust, must, must take a stroll down Charles Street and see Beacon Hill. NRO is a fab boutique! Also check out Curlycakes. They are ridiculously good. Votes for restaurants are: 1) Toro- Short walk from your hotel. Literally the best tapas in the world. They don't take reservations so go early! 2) Toscano- It's on Charles street. Get the Rossini... It's seriously amazing. Not on the menu but it's always a special! and 3) UBurger if you want a casual burger! They are ridiculously tasty and the milkshakes can NOT be beaten! Have a fab time!!
ReplyDeleteomg. so fun. i've never been either, but dying to go. adore this post. if you get a second I'd would love to hear what you think of my latest outfit post. xoxo
