We leave tomorrow for Charleston and I could not be more excited!! I love that city so much! Engagement pictures are Friday evening, and the weather is supposed to be gorgeous! Ben's parents are meeting us down there and his mom and I (and one of my best friends, Alissa) are going wedding dress shopping Saturday. Ahhh can't wait to be there!!
For now, wanted to share one more of the "props" we are using for the photos...they involve a delectable cupcake!
I made the little flags in photoshop and just printed them on card stock. You can download free calligraphy fonts from Fonts Space.
Will share the end product in short time :)

the BEST liquid liner
I stopped by Sephora last week in search of some new makeup. We have those engagement pictures coming up and I've been wanting to try a new liquid liner to attempt a bit of a wing...I have tried to do liquid liner many a time in the past, but never could quite get it right. Well, problem solved. It wasn't my technique really, it was the liners I had been trying. I finally splurged and purchased the YSL Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils felt-tip eyeliner pen...and holy smokes what a difference it makes!
The felt-tip on this baby really makes it so easy to use. And, the line is thick, smooth and even. It is definitely worth paying a little extra for!!

Lifeguard Press giveaway winner & review
Congrats to Janna, the lucky winner of the Lifeguard Press giveaway!! I hope you love your Lilly Pulitzer Personalized Foldover notes in the Cloud Nine print! (Katie from LG will be in touch with you).
Lifeguard Press also sent me a couple of items to review that we thought would make lovely mother's day gifts. I think by "review" they just mean "share" with you all because let's be honest, all the Lilly P products are great and Lifeguard Press is always a wonderful source for great gifts and pretty things for yourself! I do think that the Lilly P Melamine Serving Tray would make a fab gift...who doesn't want a pretty pop of color for the summer months!? Pair it with the Acrylic Wine Glasses in the same pattern and you are set!
As for me, we don't currently have an outdoor space (sadz :( ) but it doesn't have to be used outside or even for serving.... I've got the miscellaneous items stacked on our table corralled on it! I'm passing the acrylic wine glasses on to my mom to use on her patio and by the pool this summer!
Thanks for entering the giveaway, ya'll!! Happy shopping!

WWW - Engagement photo props from GlassGirlJen
I wanted to share with ya'll a couple of the props I'm planning on using in our upcoming engagement photos! Being from Kentucky, Ben is naturally a big bourbon fan. I found this Etsy shop, Glass Girl Jen, who had nice "Mr" and "Mrs" etched glasses. I don't drink bourbon, so I ordered a stemless wine glass with "Mrs" for myself and the "Mr" rocks glass for Ben. I think these will be really cute in some pics at our favorite bar in downtown Chuck!
(some more clear photos from her shop)
Her prices are great and any of her glass items would make wonderful custom shower or wedding gifts! I also love the etched birthday martini glass, a great personalized bday gift at just $16! You could also order this for a bride-to-be for her bachelorette party and some monogrammed stemless wineglass for your bridesmaids!
So many options! Be sure to check out Glass Girl Jen!
Did you use any "props" for your engagement pictures?!

Wade Wedding Wednesday
I thought I'd start a wedding series for Wednesdays...Wade will be my new last name :) (I heart alliteration! ha!) I don't want to go overboard with wedding posts here on Just Lovely...for the time being! We still have a ways to go....So, I will be updating you all on all our plans, DIY ideas, decisions I've made, etc on Wednesdays. I may start posting my favorite inspiration image on weekends too.
So for the first post of Wade Wedding Wednesday I'll share with you all my overall idea for the rehearsal dinner. I've already shown you the venue, the Bodley Bullock House here in downtown Lexington. Because the wedding will be sort of fancy (traditional and classic), I wanted to do something a little more fun and laid back for the rehearsal dinner. Here is a shot of the BBH's garden where we will host the dinner:

I plan on doing a low country boil, with an almost southern summer picnic theme....think red gingham, craft paper, strawberry shortcake, sweet tea (with lemonade and vodka of course ;))

Wednesday Weekend Recap
Little late on this one but wanted to share some pictures of our weekend. Saturday and Monday were obviously bit days for UK!! We had a fab time celebrating the Cats!...but I do admit, I'm glad basketball season is finally come to an end! On to something else...Keeneland!
Saturday night after the Louisville win was crazy...seriously, downtown and campus went freaking out of control...I'm sure you saw the news. People are dumb. But we kept it tame and just hit up the bars!
It was mayhem in Lexington Monday night!! We watched the game at a friend's house and grilled out, but after the big win we went down to campus/downtown to take part in the celebrating...it was wild!
EIGHT!!!!!
