My Bachelorette Party Favors/Survival Kits

I promised I would do a separate post on the bachelroette party favors I made for the ladies who attended my bachelortte weekend in Charleston.  I wanted to do something that could be a true favor and also double as a "survival kit," because I think they are cute! I've blogged about making bachelorette party survival kits in the past, you can find them here and here.

I ended up getting each girl a monogrammed acrylic tumbler and filling it with goodies. You can find tons of the tumblers on Etsy.

I included M&Ms, elastic hairbands, energy drink mix, face toilettes, mints, hand sanitizer, and Advil. 

Then all the ladies had them to drink out of for the weekend! I think they turned out super cute!

In four short days we will be two short months from our wedding day.  For as long as our engagement has been, it still seems like "holy crap where has the time gone?" I've been ordering about one thing a day. Marking those things off the list. I've got to get my dress altered, it still isn't perfect. The lining on the inside is like inside out and needs to be fixed so the seams don't show. Yea....I know. Paid THOUSANDS for a dress and now I have to pay to get it fixed. Oh well, moving on...

This week I ordered the painting for our bar area. I got the recipe of the signature drink painted. I thought it would be unique and a great keepsake for our home after the wedding. Can't wait to share it with ya'll! The envelopes went to the calligrapher this week, I expect to get those back next week and get the invitations out in the mail then.

I'm definitely at that point where I'm taking things off the list because I know they won't get done. Plus, I've realized that there is such a thing as too many details! Little by little the most important things are finally getting completed and others are being put aside. Here's where we are:

Oh and today is the 8th anniversary of Ben's and my first date! It was my family's Easter dinner in 2005. Yes, it was awkward. I invited him because his family lived out of state and I knew he didn't have Easter dinner plans. I certainly didn't think he would accept my offer. We had met on spring break and that is it. This was our first time hanging out AND he met my family! Haha he was a keeper from the start :)

My Bachelorette Weekend Recap

I'm a bit late on this, but as you can imagine I've been pretty swamped with wedding planning and haven't much felt like taking the time to upload pictures. We've had a couple of setbacks with details (dress, invitations, shoes), but everything seems to be on the mend (*knock on wood*).

For my bachelorette party I wanted to do a weekend away with all my favorite ladies (well, most of them anyways!) We rented a beach house on Folly Beach for a long weekend. There were 14 of us total and we had an absolute blast! Thursday my mom, sister, Ben's mom and I went to pick up my dress. We then all walked around and shopped some downtown before heading for a late lunch and afternoon cocktails. Then we headed back to the beach house and waited for everyone else to arrive. Friday we spent on the back porch and having lunch at Taco Boy on Folly. Friday night was my lingerie shower and dinner out. After dinner we hit the bars for the true bachelorette night! Saturday I was hurting a wee bit, so I hung out at the house with some of the ladies and some the other girls went to the outlets. There maaaaay have a been a fashion show of the lingerie I received the night before ;) Later that night we all met up for dinner at a scary biker dive on the island, I was wearing the pink barbie bride shirt. We fit in well.

It was a fabulous weekend! I couldn't have asked for a better "final fling" or wonderful women in my life! Here is a recap of the weekend in photos! I'll do a separate post on the monogrammed cups I gave all the girls as favors/a thank you for coming.
