Yes, definitely! I'm short too but they're my favorite thing to wear this summer. Only bad thing though is that I have to get them altered every time I get one. I get tons of compliments on them though so it's worth it!

I LOVE them, I know a lot of people don't but I think they're so easy and summery! Its all about confidence on whether you can pull it off and I'm sure you can :)

If you wear one with an empire waste line (as most do) and maybe some heels or wedges, you'll actually make yourself look taller and you'll give the illusion of longer legs!

However if you wear one that has a regular waste, you could end up cutting yourself short. (no pun inteded!)

Go for it!!!

Agree with Pink Julep - I'm 5'2 also, and when I try on the empire style dresses, I don't get swallowed up at all (even with prints!)

I think you can! I've seen shorter ladies rock the maxi dress! Go for it!

I'm only a little over 5'3 and I wear them all the time! I love them for summer as they are so loose and airy in the heat. They are always really long on me, but I like that because I always wear them with super-high wedge sandals and they are the perfect length ;)

Agreed...my best friend is a little over 5 ft and she LOVES wearing them...even with flats she looks immediately taller!

Oh and where did you find the maxi on your post?? It's adorable!!!

I'm having the same dilemma. I'm also 5'2" and they drag the ground and I feel like they look silly on me. I know they are supposed to drag the ground, but don't think they're supposed to have a train - HA! I just don't know . . .
