Charleston Photographer??

Hello lovelies! I have a question for ya...does anyone know of any great photographers in the Charleston, SC area? We have decide to have the wedding at home, here in Lexington. Thus, we want to incorporate our favorite city by having our engagement pictures taken in the Lowcountry! Have you all used anyone you would recommend?

love, love, love this set in the doorways!

How fun! Charleston will make lovely photos. I'm not sure about local photogs, but I know my wedding photographer Ashley Brokop travels, and my sister will be using Courtney Dox -- their engagement photos taken recently were awesome! Courtney is in SC and I'm sure would also consider traveling.

I randomly came upon your blog today (from another blog that I read). My wedding photographer was Kathy Moore (moorephotographing.com). She is based in Columbia, but she will travel to wherever! There is no way I can say enough wonderful things about her!! (You know she's good when even my husband comments to others how awesome our wedding photography was.)

Someone encouraged me to use the same photographer for engagements/portraits, etc, so he/she will learn you and be able to photograph you better. I don't know if this really matters but thought I'd pass it on.

I lived in Charleston while we were engaged & used Nadean Bruehlman from Gene Ho Photography in Myrtle Beach, SC. We loved our pictures so much that we used her for our wedding pictures in Kentucky a few months later... Our wedding album is at www.geneho.com/michellehowellwedding. Or you can add me on Facebook - Michelle Elizabeth Travis - and see our engagement album from Boone Hall Plantation/various downtown locations in Charleston.

Leigh Webber, Tim Will, Charlotte Elizabeth. To me, photos with natural light (either sunrise or sunset) make the absolute prettiest pictures. So peruse their portfolios and look for lots of natural light, it's the most romantic! Good luck!

We *might* go to Charleston for our anniversary in April, and I'm hoping to have a first anniversary photo shoot while we're there. I am going to read through the comments to see if anyone else comes up that I haven't thought of.
