Well, Ben and I finally pulled the trigger and put a deposit down on a white lab puppy! I cannot tell you how excited I am!! He should be born in May and ready to come home sometime late July or early August. Obviously the new pup needs some personalized gear...I'm already on it! I better get going on his needlepoint collar, lord knows it will take me until he is about full grown to get it finished.
Any suggestions for names? I like Mr. Darcey, Ben said no! He likes Darby, but I think that is too girly. I also like Remington since he will be a hunting dog, but Ben doesn't want people to call him Remy. I can't imagine how hard it will be to agree on a name for a child!

Ohhhh my gosh! That is absolutely so exciting! My fiance and I just put a deposit down for a silver lab that should be due sometime this month! It's so exciting. I love those engraved dog collars! I have a few for my pup (obviously a neutral for year-round and a teal for Spring) and they are really well made and adorable. Congrats on your new addition to the family, lab puppies are the absolute CUTEST.

Yup, totally thought you were preg. But a puppy is just as exciting!! I can't wait till we get another dog! I actually like the name Remy. :)

Congrats on the decision to get a pup --- you will be so glad you did!! My advice, having a 9 year old lab myself, is to get lots and lot (and lots!) of chew toys early on! :)
