I have decided to start a journal where each nigh I will write something that I was grateful for that day or whatnot. I hope this makes me more aware of all the blessings in my life.
What a great idea. I need to do that so I'm forced to think of all the wonderful blessings in my life!
I started a little one-a-day journal this year for my boys. There's just a small space for each day to jot down a thought, a milestone, or something cute they said. So far I've been able to stick to it but it's also only day 11!
Love this idea!!! I kept a journal for the better part of my adult life but let it go a few years ago and never picked it back up. Last year P and I each had our own journal where we would write something we loved about the other every single night (and not share what it was). We were supposed to exchange the journals at the end of the year....but unfortunately we never finished them. I think we abandoned them in March when things got hectic and we were traveling. I wish we had stuck with it because it would have been a great gift to finally exchange them...and maybe even share them with our children some day.
I've had a "gratitude journal" since I was 7. Some nights I can write a novel and others it's just a few quick notes but I absolutely love going back and reading them from past years. Good luck with yours!
I love this idea. I started a gratitude journal a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I didn't write much, but it made me more cognizant about the every day little things in life that I took for granted before. Some time I stopped writing in it, but I really should start again. Thanks for this reminder!

I've kept a journal of my favorite quotes since I was 15 and Brian just started writing a daily goals journal.
This is such a fabulous idea, and Home is Where the Hart Is--that sounds wonderfully romantic!
I just started and I love it. It's a grate way to recap the day and be grateful for the big and the little! You will love it :)

I currently do not do that, but I love the idea! I always need more of a reminder of the good things in life! Love your blog. I'm a new follower! :)
Such a nice idea. I make myself think of 5 things I'm grateful for every day, but writing them down would be great to read on a really rough one.
